Quickly Changing Preferences on iOS 5 with Launch Center
Last week, Dave Caolo wrote about a neat little iOS utility called Launch Center; it basically let’s you create a list of shortcuts for opening apps and URLs, creating tweets, making calls to a specific number, and so on. While playing with the app this morning, I remembered a a neat set of homescreen shortcuts created by Jeff Broderick that let you link to specific screens in Settings.app. A little research rustled up the fact that there are, in fact, URLs to these settings screens. For example, to link to the brightness setting, the URL is prefs:root=Brightness. You can get a whole list of the Settings.app URLs at Lifehacker Australia (among other places1).
If you’re not a fan of having extra homescreen icons to jump to specific settings, you might find using these URLs in Launch Center very handy.

I tried to find an Apple documentation page with these URLs, but couldn’t.
